So tonight I went to the noodle bar with a friend and got chocolate. We went back to my place and watched my tiny little tv while talking about how miserable we both our. She reminded me when I was a show bitch. What defines a show bitch you ask..well I will tell you.

Show Bitch.

A show bitch is a bitch that is supercool. Too cool for her own good you will spot her in the front row wearing her little fred perry sweater vests and doc marten's highly polished. If you approach a show bitch proceed with caution as they will snap at you and make you feel two feet tall. Show bitches are known in at least a three state radius and command respect both inside and outside a club atmostsphere. Show bitches are extremely knowledgeable in their music field so questioning them about it never gets you far for show bitches spend most of time combing through piles of reggae records searching for something rare. All time is spent in front of speakers gaining knowledge. Show bitches are down with bands and most likey down with various crews so starting with them is never a clever idea. When seeing a show bitch the best thing to do is to just move and talk quietly about them behind their backs.

Now when I was like this I was quite happy until I saw how badly it was affecting me. I truly loved the music but I was evil. I never gave anyone a chance. Then one day I died my hair bright pink. Mind you my hair was always a shade of red and always in a perfect even bob. Now it was in little pigtails and all my friends made fun of me except my boyfriend who thinks I'm cute even without the fred perrys and ben shermans. One of my good friends "caught" me buying a Tori Amos CD and told me I was supporting the corporate machine and that my opinions in music sucks. I was hurt.

These days I don't go to much shows. I'm still seen as a show bitch by some and they stay away. I don't care for the vibe and would rather sit at home a listen to Ken Boothe and not have to prove myself. It gets tiring.
